Due to the strict regulations concerning transport, many Luperox® organic peroxides are forbidden for shipment by air freight. For this reason, we operate manufacturing sites in USA, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, Italy, India, China, Korea, and Japan (JV). A new plant is also proposed for construction in Saudi Arabia.

Arkema's scorch protected peroxides are designed to simplify the crosslinking of engineered rubber compounds used in injection/compression molding or extrusion. A proprietary additive acts as a free-radical trap preventing self-accelerating decomposition before the desired mixing temperature is achieved in the process.
This is a complex question. Some Luperox® organic peroxides have been tested for compliance with various food and health governing bodies throughout the world. Compliance to the stated regulations is very specific.
For example: Luperox® 101 polymer initiator has been evaluated for compliance with the United States Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act for Food Packaging. The evaluation covers use in polypropylene resins and rubber articles only, and according to proscribed use levels by weight.

If your Luperox® organic peroxide shelf life has expired, or you don't have any further need to use the peroxide, it must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations. This often involves having the peroxides incinerated by a licensed waste handler. For more information, please contact your Arkema representative.

Samples of temperature controlled materials often require a long lead time and special handling due to transportation and safety requirements.
Organic peroxide samples are often not permitted for transport by courier services (overnight shipping).

It is critical to maintain the quality of Luperox® organic peroxides by complying with the storage conditions found in each product's safety data sheet.
Storage in inappropriate conditions can cause degradation.
No, not all Luperox® organic peroxides require storage and transportation under temperature controlled conditions.
Benzoyl peroxides, peroxyketals, hydroperoxides, and ketone peroxides generally do not require transportation or storage by temperature control.
These can be delivered using standard truckload or LTL services.
