Applications for Luperox® DTA polymer initiator primarily include the synthesis of polyacrylates for use in coating resins. According to the decomposition profile of Luperox® DTA polymer initiator, lower energy radicals are generated than with t-butyl peroxides or azo-initiators. These radicals present less risk of hydrogen abstraction. As a result, the coating resins produced have lower molecular weight, better polydispersity, and higher solids content
