LUPEROX^® 223S

Luperox® 223-S polymer initiator is used in water-based emulsion polymerization for the production of polyvinyl chloride. The recommended concentration for use is 0.02-0.15% and within a temperature range of 45°C to 60°C. Under these conditions, Luperox® 223-S polymer initiator functions well in combination with higher activity peroxides like Luperox® 188M75 polymer initiator. These peroxides together improve PVC production throughput with higher conversion and utilization of available cooling capacity. Luperox® 223-S contains tert-butyl hydroperoxide, as a means to increase the self-accelerating decomposition temperature (SADT), offering improved safety.
